Yea he’s a decent player and it’s a place we do need to strengthen. Faz seems to be showing his age now and it will be ideal to get someone in at the end of the year to get a 3rd SR in the rotation

How is Hirst getting on at the moment?

Watched the reserves game against Saints. He did 2 tip tackles, one of which he got sin binned for. But fairly solid, he's a bit similar to Dupree imo. Seems to be playing prop rather than the backrow though.

Kerr will surely be the next to step up to the first team? 


As I posted on Sunday, I was amazed we didn't give 1 or 2 lads a chance against that Salford team.

I think we potentially would have if we didn’t have this weekend off and also coming off a loss.

Matty Peet is doing an amazing job and he's earned the right to do as he pleases but I do think him 'giving a young lad a chamce' has been a slight weak point. It usually is forced through injury and even somebody like Nsemba needed that injury to Isa to nail a spot. There are always injuries around though, so eventually guys like Eckersley,  Douglas etc are getting a chance.
