For a sport that struggles to raise its profile, RL constantly shoots itself in the foot with in-bickering. In the UK we have a schism with BARLA, and in Aus we had the Super League wars. The last thing RL needs in an emerging market like the USA is bickering and in-fighting between themselves. There is already enough confusion between rugby[sic and rugby league.
Admittedly, the USA is much too large to support a single league of amateur or semi-pro clubs, and so this idea of having a "Super Bowl", and the two bodies conciling, and each administrive area becoming a "conference" can only help to strengthen the game there.
