Mini has been a breath of fresh air, a model professional, outstanding athlete, double challenge cup winner, and a fabulous second row forward, and on top of all this an ambassador for rugby league. Maybe one last crack at some silverware before he hangs em up.

What a pleasure and privilege it's been to have him at our club. What he's brought in terms of work ethic, role-modelling off the pitch and attitude have been second to none. One of our Wembley Immortals and fitting that on the final hooter at Wembley 2016 it was he who landed on the loose ball. We will miss him immensely.

Model professional I rated him when he played in the NRL come across in the twilight of his career and never let you down unlike some NRL players have done in SL . Players remarked on how obsessive he was with diet and fitness. He certainty showed the hard work paid off on the pitch. He would be an ideal coach/mentor for the junior teams

Always remember when it was rumoured he had signed there were some that felt underwhelmed by his signing. Then some titans fans posted that if we thought fitzgibbon was good then we’d love mini and they ain’t been wrong.

Mini has been one of the best import signings for Hull FC & not just in the modern era. He’s brought another level of professionalism to the club both on and off the field and help change the culture. If ever there was a player to hold up as a top role model & mentor for up coming players on how to approach been a pro sportsmen and lifestyle on/off the field Mini tops that list.

Sadly the day eventually comes when the boots need to be hung up. Been a true model pro and never let the club down.

I'll just echo what everyone else has said about Mark. Its been an absolute privilege to watch him in action and if we could find another one as good we'd be very lucky. All the very best Mark, you'll be missed by all Black and Whites.

Not many overseas players stay as long as Mini has done. Great player who puts in a shift every time he crosses the white line.



I’ll hold my hands up and say I was wrong in being critical of his extension for this year. He continues to defy old Father Time and is a role model to any one coming through. Great habit of scoring against rovers as well...

I watched him throughout his 12 years in the NRL at Souths and Titans. Started at Sydney Roosters originally but was in the shadow of his elder brother Anthony and went on a different path to forge a well earned successful career.



N.B. Mark reminds me of a former Hull FC second rower Cyril Sykes who was also so reliable in games and who I was pleased to see presenting the match ball for kick-off today.

I think you will find there were plenty on here a before the start of the season questioning the granting of a contract extension to a 36 year old. As pointed out, I held my hands up and said he proved me wrong.



With regard to the Highlighted comment, I would say not factoring a 5 day turn around v a 14 day turn around, disrespecting the current SL champions or thinking a twelve point defeat to the NRL champions constitutes an embarrassing defeat is fairly clueless.



As for the final word..., well with the standard of your posts, the quality of your grammar and simple inability to view the sport objectively, I'd say you are the stereotype.
