Great read as always wilf, reading about 1999 certainly can send you to bed sure to have proper nightmares, it was a bad year for me personally anyway and remember going to work on what i thought would be the nail in the coffin day for our beloved "ULL", did'nt think that i'd be jumping up and down with joy watching sports news on look north a few hours later!!

The usual good stuff Wilf

Remember the day of the meeting to decide our fate very well. Was in the Caribbean and got chatting to some Cas fans whose " reliable contacts" said we would either be relegated or close down. They were loving it.

Later that evening we rang the father-in-law to find out the result of the meeting and said "He could not believe it" (he is a bit like Victor Meldrew) Relieved was an understatement.

Even had to ring a mate who is a Dobbin to confirm it. Through gritted teeth he was pleased for us.

Made the rest of our holday great plus had a good few days gloating about our new team.

Thanks Wilf, we need our fix more than ever during the "off" season.
