| Quote jakeyg95="jakeyg95"I've e-mailed my three councillors but I'm sure I'll just get generic replies so I think I might pop into their next surgery and ask them to their faces, especially since they're the councillors for Stanley and one of them even claims to be a big rugby fan! Unfortunately he seems to be quite happy to watch rugby die in Wakefield.'"
Clive, Matthew and Jacque all go very quiet when pressed on the stadium issue, happy to blame the developer and not let their fearless leader Box be left open to question.

According to the council website their surgery is at 6pm on Thursday in Stanley Community Centre so I think I'll go ask them face to face and see for myself if they're just fobbing us all off.

| Just read that bull sheet again and my blood is boiling. It all seems so childish. It almost looks like a case of "we've got a good thing going here, We've got away with it once we can do these again, let's do this again while we're on a roll".

| Sir Rodney Wa!ker has said and I quote "A year ago Yorkcourt made it clear they no longer wished to work with the Trust. This was discussed with the Council's solicitor & the decision taken to form a new charitable trust"
Just wanted to know if the Trust were aware of this or yet again another secret meeting.

Charitable to Rodney Walker? Seems strange they would discuss it with the Council's solicitor and not their own.

| Unfortunately, it has now become quite clear that none of them are honourable men....we have been right royally shafted by perhaps the 3 most current dishonourable men currently residing within the Wakefield District and it is now time that the people of Wakefield are made aware of exactly what they have done

It would be great if somebody like James Deighton or Gary Carter could get involved. Questions need asking publicly and now.

| Quote from Box in last weeks Daily Star....
"The Council's legal team will review the new proposal to make sure it is capable of delivering the stadium"
Well, it is quite clear that those two pages of BS that Mackie's tea boy has produced will never deliver a stadium, so what do we think Box will do about it ???
Sweet FA, that's what

| So comparing our 2 "perfect" agreements:
Castleford - Developer agrees to transfer freehold of the stadium land to Castleford Tigers for £1
Wakefield - Developer retains freehold of land
Castleford - Stadium will be managed and run by Castleford Tigers entitling them to the full benefit of revenue streams from matchdays and conference/hospitality facilities
Wakefield - Stadium will be leased and managed by Rodney's Trust at a peppercorn rent. Trust will then lease stadium to Wakefield Trinity for a commercial rent and they will have no access to revenue streams from conference/hospitality
Castleford - Stadium to be built and handed over prior to any retail unit being opened to trade (I couldn't find a specific trigger point linked to quantity/footage of retail units)
Wakefield - Stadium to be built when developer has assessed viability of housing, received planning permission for said housing and built sufficient quantity (no reference to what constitutes sufficient quantity)
And many others but these conditions show the intentions of developer and his mates.
Time Councillor Box grew a pair and put the Castleford s106 in front of Mackie and said this is what you need to provide or else we are revoking any planning permission you will ever receive

Chalk and Cheese.
One agreement has been drafted to deliver the other one has been drafted not to deliver a stadium but still make some people very happy.

Excellent post Fordy
The reality will be that Box will take Mackie out for a business lunch (on expenses, obviously, that we will pay for) and they will agree that Mackie will then take several months re-considering his terms and conditions and will then come back with slightly more favourable terms and conditions, which once again will be totally unacceptable to the club. This will continue ad-infinitum until we are playing in the Sunday League in Thornes Park.
Mackie will then be granted freedom of the Town of Castleford.

And with an ever-crumbling Belle Vue and stadia requirements set by the RFL, they know they haven't got long to hold out.

| Just watching box give statement at cabinet meeting...said he has meeting with club today..the proposal from york court it totaly unacceptable. And york court need to walk away from wakefield as they have no interest in the city or interest in building a stadium...box said they would be looking for a new developer to step in....hopefully no new planning anywhere for yorkcourt ..
