It is quality not quantity that counts. It is not bad for a mid-week afternoon, for once I reckon other SL clubs would struggle to get that against Champ 1 opposition in mid week in January. There are more knockers on here than..............

If its the Skolars' day why can't the Broncos invite prospective sponsors, investors etc as their guests? A chance for them to listen to an after dinner speaker, watch a game of Rugby close up, be part of a unique game in a unique venue and to meet some big names in the sport like Martin Offiah.

We can't do it because that would involve someone getting off their booty and actually doing some work. Our commercial activity last year was near enough nothing. I do not know if this was down to incompetency or other factors but the fact that we can't even make season tickets available for the few fans that we have left is utterly embarrassing.

My Skolars vs Broncos ticket arrived at the beginning of last week and the ticket number is over 750 so, assuming they started at ticket number 0001, Skolars have sold 50% more tickets already

I would be surprised if numbers are even in 3 figures.

I thought capacity was limited to 600.

Is it still just the one pre-season friendly then?

It's a great day out and should definitely be kept for all the reasons mentioned.

Only a month to go, will be interesting to see how the young lads, Hurst and O'Donnell go.

Just to throw in a 'thinking outside the box' idea from a neutral how about a cross code match against Harlequins RU? first half League second half Union. If nothing else it would make a lot more of their fans aware of your existence and might just get a few curious enough to give League a try

The current Super League champions have 1 pre season friendly organised and that is a testimonial match.

Don't see that as an issue really.

Sounds like a decent setup. No excuses for the season opener now!

Fair progression of difficulty, so a good build-up and two games away from the cold hopefully. Let's hope no injuries.

Widnes will fancy their chances and if your casual fan either sees or reads about an opening loss to last years bottom team, then it could be a long season off the park!
